Jayson W. Sowers
Principal
Jayson has a diverse practice focusing on insurance coverage, intellectual property, and corporate and complex commercial litigation. He represents policyholders and captive insurers regarding a broad spectrum of insurance issues, including litigation of coverage disputes, analysis of insurance programs and collection of reinsurance. He also assists clients regarding a variety of intellectual property matters, including drafting development and licensing agreements, counseling regarding trademark and branding issues, and litigating trademark infringement disputes.
Jayson began his legal career in Delaware, where he served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Henry duPont Ridgely in the Delaware Superior Court, and the Honorable Myron T. Steele in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
Education and Admissions
Jayson received his B.A. from the College of William & Mary in 1990, with a double major in Philosophy and Government. He received his J.D., cum laude, in 1993, from the Wake Forest University School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Wake Forest University Moot Court Board.
Jayson is admitted to practice in Washington, Delaware, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Ninth Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts of Western Washington and Delaware.
