Blake Marks-Dias
Principal
Blake is a member of the Litigation and Intellectual Property practice groups. Blake represents clients, large and small, in a broad range of high-stakes litigation matters, including complex commercial litigation, trade secrets and non-competition actions.
Blake has a passion for oral advocacy. He has successfully tried cases in a variety of jurisdictions, and has orchestrated numerous successful arbitrations and mediations.
Blake also regularly counsels clients on e-discovery and document retention matters, and frequently writes and lectures on this subject. He completed the Kroll Ontrack E-Discovery Certification Training Program.
In college, he earned the award of best debater in the nation. He was a two-time Northwest debate champion, and finished second in the 1995 national tournament.
Education and Admissions
Blake received his B.A. from Gonzaga University, cum laude, in 1995. He received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 1998, where he was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers and Moot Court Honor Board. He competed at the world finals of the Jessup Moot Court Competition.
Blake is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon, the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
