Pamela A. Grinter

Principal

Pamela practices business and tax law. She represents clients in tax, business, real estate and international transaction matters, including choice of entity, entity formation, complex transaction planning, and distribution and franchising. Pamela provides tax advice to clients of varied size and organizational structure, both public and private, regarding state, local, federal and international taxation with an emphasis on partnerships and limited liability companies. She also assists tax exempt organizations with corporate and federal and state tax matters, including organizing nonprofit corporations, obtaining and maintaining federal tax exemption and reorganizations.

Education and Admissions

Pamela received her B.S. from Santa Clara University in 1988, and her J.D. from the University of Puget Sound, cum laude, in 1991. She is admitted to practice in Washington.

Professional and Community Activities

Pamela has been an adjunct professor at Seattle University Law School and is active in civic and trade organizations. She was a Washington State Delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She served as President of the Washington State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division in 1995-1996, and has held several national positions with the American Bar Association. Pamela is a member of the Washington State Bar Association Taxation Section and was chair of the WSBA Business Law Section.

Pamela is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Seattle Children’s Theater. Pamela was a founder, director and former treasurer of Washington Attorneys Assisting Community Organizations (WAACO), is a past director of the Woodland Park Zoo Society, and a past director and treasurer of PROVAIL (formerly United Cerebral Palsy of King and Snohomish Counties) and of New Beginnings for Battered Women and Their Children.
