Industrial Process Controls
We represent an international manufacturer of distributive control systems and programmable logic controllers in connection with catastrophic losses at industrial facilities in the United States, Asia and Europe. Representative work includes:
- Successfully defending manufacturer of industrial products in four consolidated lawsuits arising out of an explosion at an oil refinery. Developed extensive evidence demonstrating multiple failures in process design and implementation by other parties, resulting in summary judgment on behalf of our client in regard to all claims brought against it in those actions
- Successfully defending manufacturer of industrial process control system in international arbitration arising out of explosion at chemical processing plant; developed evidence demonstrating that both the general contractor and the plant operator failed to adhere to well-established safety standards for design and operation; we obtained the voluntary dismissal of our client without any payment on its part to the other litigants
