Assisted Living
We represent one of the largest national owners and managers of senior housing and assisted living facilities in a wide variety of matters, and have represented other providers of senior living services, as well. Representative work includes:
- Negotiating and documenting the acquisition and management of 132 senior living facilities through a joint venture agreement with a leading alternative asset manager in a $1.3 billion transaction in 2010
- Financing, refinancing, leasing, acquisition and sale of 41 senior housing facilities in a dozen transactions valued at over $220 million in 2010
- Negotiating and documenting agreements by owners and managers of senior housing and care facilities in many matters, including acquisition of an operator of more than 80 senior living facilities
- Acting as lead legal counsel to a publicly traded assisted living facility operator on the acquisition of a closely held facility operator, valued at $230,000,000
- Assisting assisted living facility operator in a $1.3 billion joint acquisition of 150 facilities nationwide
- Providing primary legal counsel in the acquisition, disposition, REIT leasing, agency financing and portfolio managing of assisted living facilities in multiple states
- Obtaining nationwide injunctive relief to prevent abrupt shut-off of internet access for hundreds of facilities of two major assisted living operators in dispute with internet service provider
